Tessa at Seven Months

At seven months, Tessa:

  • Gets herself into a seated position and is mostly stable (mostly).
  • Crawls wherever she wants to go - and she learned to crawl the same day as she sat up by herself.
  • Pulls up to a stand on anything at her head height when she's crawling.  She can't reach the couch just yet to try cruising.
  • Likes to feel grass and sand with her hands and feet.
  • Has stranger anxiety and mostly just wants to be held by Mom or Dad.
  • Takes good naps by herself and is sleeping pretty well at night.  She still gets up once or twice a night, though.
  • Eats rice cereal like a pro, but is iffy about her peas and green beans.
And here are the pictures:
Wrestling with Daddy.  Hair pulling and face grabbing are two of her favorite things.
Walking in the sand.
Stylish girl.

Not sure if the top or bottom of the play saucer is more fun.
Walking on the grass.
Our happy seven month old girl.
Here's Norah's seven month post.

Tessa at six months

Technically, Tessa is still six months old so, technically, this post isn't late...

Here we go:
At six months, Tessa
•can sit up all by herself but her balance is so-so so we try to keep a pillow behind her as best we can.
•reaches up to be picked up.
•cries when Daddy comes home and takes too long to pick her up.
•pushes up on her hands and toes.
•eats rice cereal.
•still doesn't have any teeth but it looks like she will get a fang first (how cute will that be?!)
•adores Norah.
•is still the smiliest baby you ever did see.

Here is a link to Norah at six months.

And, finally, here is the official six month picture with Tessa sharing Daddy's birthday brownies:

Mommy's littlest helper

If it weren't for Tessa, Laundry might go a little quicker but it sure wouldn't be as cute!

Nap Time

Norah thought that Tessa needed some toys and a friend to make nap time more fun.

A Photo Journal of our Christmas

First, the Padilla Family Totem Pole went Christmas tree shopping.
Norah wanted to get a flocked tree, but she got overruled.
Norah decorated the bottom 1/3 of the tree.
Tessa's first Christmas ornament is a rocking horse.
The girls went to see Santa.
Whoops, not that Santa.
This Santa.
They left out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve.  Norah even pre-dunked a cookie to guarantee a spot on the nice list.
Norah opened lots of presents on Christmas morning.
Tessa did too.
We had a wonderful Christmas season and we hope you did, too.
