I absolutely love everything about being a mom. That being said, don't judge me because I love some parts of motherhood a little more than others. Things I just can't get enough of:
Bath time, especially drying her hair. I usually play chicken with her diaper, leaving it off as long as possible while I comb her hair and put lotion on her. Most of the time I win.
Getting her up in the morning or after a nap. She always has the biggest smiles. This is a great picture of Norah because it is exactly her with her smile and her fluffy, crazy hair. What this picture doesn't show is the kicking and arm flailing that she does right before we pick her up.
Watching her watch the world and figure out how to pick something up or reach out and grab a toy.
I don't have a picture of it but my all time favorite part of the day is rocking her to sleep for her morning nap. Holding her for a little bit after she falls asleep is my guilty pleasure. Even though I know she will sleep better when I put her down and that I could be getting about five things done around the house I just can't resist.
A few of my less favorite things? Realizing she won't remember any of this. Noticing we are just about out of diapers. Again. The last hour before I have to go to work. And the spit up.
Oh the spit up. Thank you to everyone who has made burp cloths for us.
