Mommy's littlest helper

If it weren't for Tessa, Laundry might go a little quicker but it sure wouldn't be as cute!

Nap Time

Norah thought that Tessa needed some toys and a friend to make nap time more fun.

A Photo Journal of our Christmas

First, the Padilla Family Totem Pole went Christmas tree shopping.
Norah wanted to get a flocked tree, but she got overruled.
Norah decorated the bottom 1/3 of the tree.
Tessa's first Christmas ornament is a rocking horse.
The girls went to see Santa.
Whoops, not that Santa.
This Santa.
They left out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve.  Norah even pre-dunked a cookie to guarantee a spot on the nice list.
Norah opened lots of presents on Christmas morning.
Tessa did too.
We had a wonderful Christmas season and we hope you did, too.

Tessa at 5 Months

At five months, Tessa:

  • is biting hard on everything.  No teeth yet, but man those gums are hard!
  • watches us eat with curiosity, and just reached into Mommy's mouth during breakfast.
  • grabs everything within reach (watch out for tablecloths).
  • walked a few steps with help from Papa.
  • can balance in a sitting position, but leans waaaaay forward.
Here are some pictures:
That is one happy kitty cat ballerina (official 5 month picture).

Say what?

Tired girl.

Look into my eyes...

One cool girl.

First experience with grass: not afraid of it. Yet.

What you'd see if you were the iPod.
For comparison, here's Norah at five months.  Since we haven't been linking to Norah's posts as we write Tessa's, here are links to months

Tessa at 4 months

At four months, Tessa:

  • Rolls over both ways without help.  She still gets stuck rolling from back to front but is a pro at rolling from front to back.
  • Is starting to play with toys and especially likes her discovery saucer and jitter lion.
  • Has discovered her feet
  • Can inchworm a little, but does it mostly accidentally.
  • Loves to stand up with help.
Here are the pictures:
Sweet dreams, Little One.

Big smiles.

Delicious feet.

Blowing raspberries at the birds.
Our happy 4 month old girl.
